Uncovering the Depletion Patterns of Inland Water Bodies via Remote Sensing, Data Mining, and Statistical Analysis

Addressing the issue of shrinking saline lakes around globe has turned into one most pressing issues for sustainable water resource management. While it been established that natural climate variability, human interference, change, or a combination these factors can lead to depletion lakes, is crucial investigate each case and diagnose potential causes this devastating phenomenon. On note, study aims promote comprehensive analytical framework reveal any significant patterns in while analyzing reasons behind observed changes. The methodology used based on statistical analysis, data mining techniques, remote sensing-based datasets. To achieve objective study, Maharlou Lake selected demonstrate application proposed framework. results revealed two types lake’s surface area: sharp breaking point 2007/2008 gradual negative trend, which was more pronounced dry seasons less prominent wet seasons. Furthermore, analysis hydro-climatic variables indicated presence abrupt changes variables’ time series, could be interpreted as signal change anthropogenic drought are changing basin’s status quo. Lastly, statistically correlation between area showed connection patterns. obtained from models suggest undergone morphological transformation currently adopting new conditions. If preventive measures not taken revive Lake, tipping might have reached, reviving lake improbable, if impossible.
